Position: Assistant Community Manager

Job Description:

A well-established homeowners associations management company in Sherman Oaks, CA, is seeking an experienced Assistant Community Manager, with a keen eye for detail, strong ability to multi-task, and excellent customer service skills, to join our growing portfolio of homeowners associations in West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, just to name a few.  


The Assistant Community Manager ensures their portfolio of homeowners communities are professionally managed and maintained while providing solution-based customer service by always putting the clients’ needs first and helping to enhance the communities’ quality and value.

Job Requirements:

Interested candidates must be well-organized while able to keep up with a fast pace and stay on track when handling a high volume of task assignments, communicating with community residents and/or Board of Directors by phone call and e-mail, responding to day-to-day inquiries with timely follow-ups, placing maintenance requests, managing emergencies, identifying property concerns, coordinating with vendors and clients, preparing Board materials and attending meetings, updating and tracking items in the database, drafting and sending correspondences to residents, and handling special projects as assigned.


Candidates with at least 3 years of customer service experience must be able to work with a diverse team, are open to constructive criticism, and possess exceptional time management skills. Strong computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also a must. Experience in HOA portfolio management and keen knowledge of budgets, audits, reserve studies, bidding process, and Association governing documents is strongly preferred. CMCA certification or ability to obtain within 6 months (the company offers reimbursement for costs associated with certification and annual courses) is preferred.
