About CAI-GLAC
Connecting Communities Through Education, Advocacy, and Service
Since 1977, the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI-GLAC) has helped the people who live in, manage, and serve community associations across Los Angeles County. Today our chapter is nearly 1,200 members strong, and in 2027 we will celebrate 50 years of building better communities in greater Los Angeles.
What We Do
Education, Events, and Advocacy All Year Long
Education & Credentialing
We prepare community managers for the CMCA exam and beyond with review sessions, practice tools, Manager Boot Camp, and courses leading to nationally recognized designations.
Events That Connect
From luncheon trade shows and educational breakfasts to our Annual Expo, golf tournament, and Dodger Night, our events bring the whole industry together.
Mediation Services
When disputes arise within a community, our mediation program offers an affordable, neutral path to resolution without going to court.
Advocacy
Through the California Legislative Action Committee (CLAC), CAI advocates for fair, sensible legislation affecting the more than 50,000 community associations that nearly 14 million Californians call home.
Focus Magazine
Our chapter publishes Focus Magazine, covering the issues, people, and best practices shaping community association living in greater Los Angeles.
